The Milton YMCA is non-profit organization located 15 minutes away from Bucknell. This organization is focused on promoting good health, building strong family relationships, raising confidence in kids, and in enhancing the overall wellness of the community. Some of the programs offered at their facility include child care, food services, gymnastics, group exercise, and arts and crafts.
This branch of the YMCA is one of many located throughout Pennsylvania and they offer many work study and volunteer opportunities for Bucknell students and other community members. Their child care, food service and arts and crafts programs are always available for anyone interested in service learning and some of the work study opportunities include lifeguarding, running the front desk, being a gymnastics assistant, and working for the meal/day care program on a regular basis. Through their efforts, YMCA hopes to foster positive youth development and a healthier community.
